Hello there, thank you for writing in.
Even though it is appropriate to expect clear urine following any procedure, it is not very unusual to find minimal amount of blood in the urine after a
cystocele repair. This happens due to tissue handling and
injury at the time of cystocele repair. Do drink adequate or plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated and to maintain your urine output of at least 30 to 50 ml per hour. Do keep a watch if your urine clears up on its own.
If you happen to notice the color of urine changing to dark or bright red and becoming more intense inspire of good urine output and if you have any pain abdomen,
fever, giddiness, sweating,
tiredness, then do report to emergency room for further evaluation.
Otherwise, if your urine color remains the same or lightens up after good amount of fluid intake you can wait till its removal.
Be mindful about urine volume as at times the conduit may get blocked due to
blood clots in which case the catheter needs a replacement.
Hope this helps. Take care.
