What Causes Blood In Urine When Diagnosed With Interstitial Cystitis?

Hi, I have a history of kidney stones and my last ultrasound approx 2 months ago showed that I may have more stone but was not able to pick the actual stone up. I also have Interstitial cystitis. I recently started feeling symptoms of UTI but I thought maybe it was a flare up of IC. The pain is now severe and I have blood in my urine. Also, my abdomen is very bloated. I was shaky earlier too. I have been feeling the symptoms creep up for approximately 2 days now, with today bringing the full fledged symptoms. I am wondering if there could be a stone causing the infection and/or bleeding and if you recommend me going to the ER as my kidneys have already has extensive damage from the previous stones. Thank you

Hello,

Your having infection of the bladder and its wall. It is caused by bacterial infection or allergy or trauma or tuberculosis etc.

So this cystitis may give you blood in urine with or without pus cells.

Get urine examination and culture sensitivity. Drink plenty of water liquids.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
