What Causes Blood In Urine While On Warfarin?
I have blood in my urine for the past 2 days...it is very unsettling...I am on warfarin for a blood clotting disorder...have been on warfarin since 2009...currently take 7.5mg and my last INR was 2.1 2 weeks ago.....I periodically have blood in my urine, the last time was about 2 months ago and lasted about 2 days but since starting warfarin this happens 2-4 times a year...it really freaks me out!....also the last 2 times there have been little tiny squiggly blood clots floating in the urine...please advise...Bob Bernstein

Hello Bob This may not be anything more than an effect of the warfarin, but you need to have your doctor check it out. It could be a sign of a kidney stone, a prostate infection, or bladder or kidney cancer
