What Causes Blood In Urine?

Yesterday I started having blood pass with my urine. At first there was a burning sensation when I urinate but that went away. I had some chills yesterday and just a few hours ago. Today I was urinating pretty frequently and the urine flow didn t hurt but at the end of each session, there is an uncomfortable and what I d describe as a sucking sensation with no urine coming out in the bladder area. I ve also been constipated all day which may not be related.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Causes is blood in urine are kidney, ureter or bladder stones,UTI,prostatitis or rarely trauma or tumor.
If you had a history of burning sensation while passing urine then kidney stone or UTI chances are more.
You need to undergo routine blood, urine and ultrasound of KUB and cystoscopy investigations.
Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause.
In some cases,it subsides by itself within few days but if problem persists then you should consult urologist.
Yes,constipation has nothing to do with this, you can take purgatives or laxatives for that.
