Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi in the past six weeks I have had blood in urine 3 times 1 very visible be told there is a bug Been on 6 weeks of antibiotics 4 different types and still havering trouble peeing and still stings. The last doctor I saw just semester I tale antibiotics for life.
No, there is no need to take antibiotics for life. But, I think the blood in urine is due to possible passing urine stones. However, that should be confirmed through abdominal ultrasound and possible pyelography.
Plus, depending on your gender (unfortunately, you did not mention), we should rule out genital issues too including infection or others. Hence, to me you should consult with urologist and run a few more specific exams (if not done so far). Increase water intake. Take cranberry supplement.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
