Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband is diabetic and has been having blood in his urine for about 2 days, now this happened once this year and cleared up after half aday he refused to take the rectal test and the test where they stick the tube in his penis what other test can he take to find out exactly whats gone on.
I would suggest to consult the urologist and undergo urine tests, routine and microscopic test, albumin, and urine albumin creatinine ratio. Also blood tests Hb A1c, blood glucose to know the status of diabetes, serum PSA, USG scan and cystoscopy if needed.
Specific treatment will depend on the cause and test result. Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar
