Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had a positive test for moderate blood in urine (non visual was in for a work drug screen). I m a PT by trade. Just prior in the week before went through a month of watching a friend like a brother die from end stage cancer of melanoma. It was horrific as he lingered. I plan to run the usual post check with an MD. Can high emotional stress/grief (I was the primary caregiver for him for a month before he died) cause this.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
According to your complain, you have a problem of blood in urine that may be because of urinary tract infection or other reasons. Kidney infection or stone also lead to this type of symptoms.
Do a complete blood cell count and urine culture which are helpful for further diagnosis. Drink more water per day. Avoid spicy and oilier foods. Consult a nephrologist for further diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rachana Goswami
