What Causes Blood Marks On The Hands With Carpal Tunnel Syndrome And Diabetes?

My friend seems to be getting what appear to be blood marks on the back of his hands. He is 55yrs and has been recently diagnosed with carpul tunnel. He is also a diabetic. Does this have anything to do with either condition. I had read it could be a type of eczeme?

Hello,

Diabetes is a condition that may cause impairment of blood flow in the most distal parts of the extremities. Carpal tunnel syndrome is characterized by compression of the median nerve and does not cause blood circulation issues. Your friend should be evaluated by a vascular Surgeon for these issues.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
