What Causes Blood Pressure Of 149/104 Inspite Of Healthy Habits?
i used a blood pressure machine in CVS today and my blood pressure was 149/104 I am only 25 i work out and i eat healthy. I've recently stop my workout because I'm in school but I'm always on the run. I even forget to eat but if i pick up something i make sure its something healthy. However, i haven't been eating banana's or drinking milk
A blood pressure value of 149/104 is definitely high and if persistent, then you are hypertensive. However, there are conditions that must be observed when taking BP measurements such as, rest, no alcohol, no cigaret, no exercise, no stress etc.
If your BP is measured when those conditions are not observed then you will have false results.
Re take the bp measurements with the conditions observed and if it is persistently high, you will need to see a cardiologist to screen you for secondary causes of hypertension.
