Hello, You have undergone surgery for macular hole 5 days ago. Post operative recovery is good. Presently, you noticed blood in the lower eye lid and also in the corner of the eye. You are experiencing post operative complications of macular hole repair surgery. You are suggested to get a follow up clinical examination done by your treating surgeon / doctor to rule out infection. Raised eyes pressure can damage optic nerve. Bleeding in the eyes post operation occurs very rarely, but severe bleeding within the eye can result in blindness. Retinal detachment is also a post operative complication that may lead to blindness. You are suggested to get examined, get treated at the earliest. Do not scratch or touch your eyes.
