Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hope so , My doctor, clinic never returned call. I had a regular bowel movement this a m and sense then have had diarrhea like symptoms but it s been all bright red blood. Average ever 1 1/2 hour. Longer when I have been less active. In addition I have not urinated all day, but it s hot and I have been working outside. What s up ?
I will suggest you take adequate fluids to get a good amount of urine output (feeling to pee at least twice a day) causes if bloody diarrhea is always an infection.
You need to take tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice a day and tablet ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day, both for at least 5 to 7 days.
Meanwhile, keep good hydration. The amount of oral rehydration you need to take is simple to calculate. 200-250 ml of O.R.S. per episode of diarrhea you need to take orally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Muhammad Faisal Bacha, Internal Medicine Specialist
