What Causes Bloody Nose With Blood Clots?
My mother had her gallbladder removed at the end of May and because of intubation problems, my Mom had a very sore throat and now a sinus infection. She is being treated with antibiotics but just had a really bloody nose with a large blood clot. What could this be from?

hello,thanks for your query, bleeding per nose in elderly person could be due to hypertension, medications( aspirin, heparin or clopilet) or bleeding polypus. hope I have answered your query. all the best. take care.
