Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Bloody Semen And Frequent Urination After Taking Adderall With ADHD?
I m 28, was just diagnosed ADHD this week and I just started taking adderall this morning, and tonight my semen is bloody (for the first time ever). Are these two related? I noticed having to go tot he bathroom more than normal today, but I also was drinking a lot. I did not see blood in my urine.
The symptoms mentioned are less likely to be related to recent use of Adderall. I would advise you to undergo testing for possible STDs and venereal diseases. Blood stained semen, frequent urination points toward uro-genital pathology. There are easily available over the counter STIs test kit which can be helpful. Your GP can request various STIs test after taking history and performing examination. However, if the tests are negative and/or you strongly believe Adderall as underlying cause of your symptoms, consider discussing alternate treatment to Adderall with the prescribing doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
