I normally do have irregular periods and my this month is late according to my app, I have started to have cramps and lumps in my boobs which I normally always get a couple days before I have my period. But the day I was suppose to have it I drank Alochol and my period did come later that night or so I thought so but nothing came out the day after or the next day. I have had a bit of blood come out the past couple days but it s tiny tiny bits. And I am sexual active.. Could you please tell me what is going on?
Hi dear thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic!! Possible cause of irregular periods includes pregnancy, emotional stress, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pills, thyroid disorder, obesity. So i advise you get the following investigation done and consult Blood sugar, Lipid profile, Serum FSH,LH,Prigesterine,Estrogen levels and thyroid profile. Also Ultrasound under observation is advisable, Your treatment will be cause dependent. Normally for hormonal imbalance Norethiesterone tablet is given but should be taken under gynaecologist guidance. Hope this will help you Thanks and regards Dr.Sohil Takodara
