What Causes Bloody Stool Post Colonoscopy Procedure?

I had a colonoscopy done 2 years ago. They removed 3 pollups and told me I have diverticulitos. I had never experienced any problems prior. But less than a year after the colonoscopy I have been having problems blood in stool and pain. Could I be having problems from a bad colonoscopy procedure?

Hi,

Had it been a bad colonoscopy procedure, the symptoms of bleeding etc., would have been after months or so. You may be having some other pathology. The presence of some more polyp or neoplasia cannot be ruled out. The presence of any other inflammatory disease should also be investigated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
