What Causes Blotches On Arms When Placed In Relaxed Position?
when my hands are lowered and relaxed by my sides, they become blotchy (not hugely noticeable unless you look close), but when I raise my hands, they go back to normal (I assume that s because the blood is leaving my hands but it s not normal and it is worrying me)

NO this is not because of blood circulation but this could be due to general weakness, may be some time functional in origin, you have not mentioned your age and gender here otherwise something would have been thoughts accordingly, it is advisable to get done the Hemoglobin test, keep the condition in close observation, if this increase or remain as it is then may need Doppler study, hope this information helps, take care.
