What Causes Blotchy Arms And Legs To A 22 Month Baby?

My daughter is 22 months old and today i have noticed her arms and legs are very blotchy. There is no rash and its not raised. I dont know if it is nothing or something to be concerned about. I took her to the doctors earlier thinking she had an ear infection and at the time I had not noticed her arms and legs. It tuned out that she might just have a cold virus thats going around. She also has had a fever for a couple of days now. So my concern is her blotchy skin. Its red and white. What could this be?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...by what you quote I feel that she might be having a skin condition called status marmoratus which is the result of fever or ambient temperature. This is a common phenomenon if the kid is active otherwise. Once fever settles or ambient temperature improves, she will come out of it automatically.
