Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello...Periodically I will have someone(usually a clerk where I m shopping) ask me if I feel alright. I am then told that my face looks either blue around my nose or maybe greyish /blue in mask area. Sometimes my nails look blue as well. I am not in any distress at the time. Once not long ago I was at an outdoor event and it was quite cold and the gal waiting on me was quite alarmed and told me about her daughter that had this same condition, It was rhynard syndrome? I looked it up but I def didn t match with definition. My own Dr. has asked if I have sought any other Dr. on this. Been going on probably 2 years. This is super annoying. Like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
As per your query you have blue discoloration around the nose which could be probably due to allergic reaction, localize infection or injury. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses , cover your face and prevent from UV radiations. If symptoms persists then consult dermatologist. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , antibiotics or antifungal.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
