What Causes Blue Discolouration Around A Skin Cut?
Two days ago i scrapped, cut myself on the side, which caused bleeding in two areas. I put Neosporin on it and again the next day after I showered. Could not bandage it because it was almost at my back where I couldn t reach. The area around the cuts has turn blue-purple now. Is this just a bruise, or sign of infection? Thanks
If the wound has turned blue-purple, it is a perfectly normal reaction. It is not a sign of infection. It will next turn brownish black and in about one to two weeks it will heal completely maybe leaving a scar. So you have nothing to worry. You can just keep applying neosporin and it will be fine soon. Take care and have a nice day. If you have more queries feel free to ask me. Thank you.
