What Causes Blue Spots In Vision?

My 15 year old son says that he is seeing blue spots. He says they are like blue patches whenever he opens his eyes. Do you know what this may be? Not sure if this is related, but he just got home from his daily 2 hour track practice. Also He showed me a video yesterday of him squatting 225 pounds during weight lifting. (proving a point to some other teammates). I also notice that he is coughing and sneezing a bit

hello and welcome to HCM,
Seeing spots especially black spots in front of eyes against blue sky is suggestive of a visual problem especially degeneration of vitreous humor.
Degeneration of vitreous can occur at any age and is a degenerative process.
I suggest you to consult an eye specialist for clinical assessment of the eye after dilation of the pupil.
Other symptoms of coughing and sneezing suggest a seasonal flu most probably.
You can consult a paediatrician for this problem.

Thanks and take care
