What Causes Blurred Vision After Xanax And Valium Withdrawal?
I have just come off Xanax having taken it daily for 19 years. I was on a fairly high dose of 3mg. I was taking a high dose of Valium for one week to overcome the Xanax withdrawal. I have been off both drugs for 4 weeks but I am having terrible withdrawal. My head feels like it s going to explode and I have blurred vision. Is there an alternative to Valium? How long will the side effects last?
Valium is used when withdrawing from other benzodiazepines because it has a long half life.
This means that it lasts longer in the body and is therefore less likely to cause side effects. You stated that you have been off both of these medications for 4 weeks but are still having symptoms. In most persons the effects last a few weeks
It may be best to see your doctor to make sure that there are no other causes for the symptoms that you are experiencing.
I hope this helps
