Symptoms: Ear drainage, Ear itching, Blurred and double vision, Sensitivity to light, and sometimes dizziness. Sometimes have a light headed feeling but not during this episode. Eating or chewing gum causes ear drainage to increase. -Symptoms have existed off and on for about 12 years. -Vision and ear drainage is solely on the right side. -Episodes last from days to months with the longest going for five months. I can have no symptoms for a few months but this has always come and gone with no predictors for 12 years now. -Nystagmus in eye will sometimes correct with changing head position but steady vision will last for a minute or so and then double or blur again. -Symptoms started at age 34 (I m 46 now) and in otherwise excellent health. -Sight is normal when not symptomatic as well as hearing. Last audiogram was normal for my age with exception to the gunshot frequency where there is an expected dip. This is normal for a career Marine. -I have had one concussion at age 21 with no known effects from it. -Was on active duty for initial symptoms. No Doctor has been able to nail this down and provide any relief. I have been to ENTs, Neurologists, and a Neuro-Opthamologist.
