Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blurred Vision Along With Eye Pain And Redness?
I have blurred vision this morning, headache and so strong pain on the right site above the eye. My eyes looked strange colour like red type but not normal (like scary). It happened last year but after checking in hospital was fine-nothing found. After 2 hours feel nausea and this is worrying me, also stiff on the back on my neck. Any advise please?
Thanks for contacting HCM with your healthcare questions. You have been having eye pain with associated redness and nausea. This sounds like you have an ophthalmologic migraine headache. These types of headaches are associated with eye pain and the nausea. TO treat these headaches we use the same medications as for regular migraines. Over the counter you can use advil or aleve or exedrine migraine. For prescription we use imitrex and phenergan for the nausea. If the pain is severe enough we occasionally use pain medication like vicodin or oxycodone but only when it is severe
I recommend you see your primary care provider and see if there is anything they can do to help.
