What Causes Blurred Vision Along With Ringing In Ears?

Hi. I was on a drive today with my 57 year old sister when her vision went all white for 20 to 30 mins. She experienced a funny feeling like she was zooming through a light tube, and there was buzzing sounds or ringing in her ears. What could cause such a thing & for that long of a period? Thsnk you, im worried for my sister

Hi dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding you concern. As per your query you have blurred vision along with ringing in ears . The symptoms you mention in query are indicating excessive fatigue , stress and anxiety , tinnitus due to TMJ problem , sinusitis , ear infection or low blood sugar or low iron level. I would suggest you to take proper rest , keep yourself hydrate by drinking atleast 8-9 glasses of water , take oral rehydration solution and take proper diet . If symptoms occur again then consult general practitioner for proper diagnosis and rule out causes like diabetes and generalize stress and anxiety . Doctor will take history and order tests like blood test to find out the sugar level . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for ear problem , tinnitus or sinusitis , who may prescribe antibaterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis along with supplement like ginkgo biloba.
