Hi Dear, Welcome to HCM. Understanding your concern . As per your query you have blurred vision along with swelling in the arm . The symptoms you mention are typical symptoms of a diabetic person. It seems to me that you are having diabetes type 1 , because diabetes type 2 shows less symptoms or shoe symptoms slowly .The symptoms can also occur due to allergic reaction , side effects of certain medicine or there can be two different causes for both symptoms . I would suggest you to consult physician for proper diagnosis and rule out causes like nerve impairment and acidic reflux diseases . Doctor may order fasting and random blood sugar level , glycolate hemoglobin test or test for ketone bodies in blood . Doctor may refer you to ophthalmologist for eye problem or orthopedic surgeon for swelling in arm. For now take proper rest and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl . Doctor may prescribe insulin therapy ( number of unites will depend upon the severity of disease ) . Till then eat healthy , do light exercise for half an hour daily and avoid alcohol and smoking.
