Hi,

Blurred vision and hand pain are symptoms that can occur in people with lupus and dermatomyositis. It is important to discuss these symptoms with your doctor as they may be related to your medications or underlying condition. Steroids such as prednisone can cause side effects such as blurred vision, particularly if taken for a long time or at high doses. Similarly, CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) can cause side effects such as gastrointestinal symptoms and may affect wound healing.

Your doctor may recommend tapering the steroids gradually, particularly if you have been on them for a prolonged period. They may also want to adjust their dosage of Cellcept or switch to a different medication.

It is important to have regular follow-up appointments with your doctor to monitor your symptoms and adjust your treatment plan as needed. Additionally, managing stress, getting adequate rest, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help improve symptoms and overall well-being.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
