What Causes Blurred Vision And Vertigo After A Cervical Fusion?

I had cervical fusion on c-5, c-7 3 years ago. In the past three weeks, I have had magor neck pain, stiffness, and nerve pain. MRI showed stenosis, but doesn t answer why my BP is still high, I am 135, 5 3, and have been on medication for blood pressure for three years, Still, it has been averaging 180/110, even on meds. I ve had major pressure beginning at base of skull and behind eyes. Ringing in ears. Vertigo. Red blotchy palms, constipation or diarhea, seizure like jumping in arms, legs and jaw off and on. Vision is blurry at times, and words are difficult to articulate at times. Shaking hands too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of hypertension, vertigo & tremors. Since you are having ringing in your ears, you need to see an ENT, get physically examined.

Get audiometry test done. Get treated, neglect will lead to imbalance, unsteadiness & disorientation or blurred vision.

Tremors are indications of developing Peripheral Neuropathy. If you are diabetic you need to control the sugar levels. Get Nerve conduction tests done. Get treated.

Visit a GP, get physically examined, assessed & treated for Cervical stenosis & hypertension, neglect will lead to CAD.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
