Hi,
The symptoms that you have mentioned can be seen with several diseases but it seems to be something related to one or few of the cranial nerves. The most common cause of these is usually a
migraine with additional symptoms.
Migraine is when one has a headache that is around the head, face, and
scalp area. This headache or pain can also cause some activation of the cranial nerves. In your case the nerves impacted seem to be the trigeminal and the
facial nerve.
This can cause
numbness, a feeling of ear fullness, and some headache. Blurring of vision may also be seen as the muscles of the eye are not moving correctly.
Several other causes for symptoms similar to those you have mentioned include:
* Ear infection
* Blockage in the ear
*
Sinus infections
* Throat infection
Getting a check up to confirm the actual cause would be useful. This would be diagnosed with some examination of the ear, nose, and throat. Post this, the doctor may also order some tests like a throat swab and culture.
All the best. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni, General & Family Physician
