What Causes Blurred Vision During The Post Open Heart Surgery?
My mother is 71, and is just 9 days post open heart surgery, quadruple bypass. She is experiencing pixelated vision, blurred vision, black/white grey vision moving imagery when still. Also her hands and feet are extremely cold. Can you help answer what this could be due to/ symptom of?
Thanks for the query. The information provided by you is limited to comment accurately about the situation. Based on the situation, i would think of shower of cholesterol emboli from the blocked vessels of heart dislodged and blocked the eye vessels. Other possibility that i would think is low blood pressure causing reduced blood supply to retina. In any case, i would have called an opthalmologist to examine her in detail and act accordingly. Wish your mother a good health ahead.
