Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blurred Vision While On Flupred, Nepalact And Naprosyn?
Hello doctor, my brother has almost lost (blurred) vision from one eye suddenly three days back. He has visited some ophthalmologist and he had diagnosed it with swollen eye. He has recommended Flupred, nepalact and naprosyn 500. He did not tell the cause. Please advice on the same, is these medicines okay? He will also be going for IVF and has to go through FNAC in few days. Do these medicines have adverse effect? Could it be a chronic disease?
Sorry about your friend health condition. Many causes for sudden blurring of vision like: 1. Retinal artery obstruction. 2. Bleeding into vitreous humour. 3. Retinal detachment. 4. Vitamin deficiency. 5. Optic neuritis. 6. Conjunctivitis. 7. Lence dislocation etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Above drugs may cause little effect on IVF and sperm count. So better to postpone procedure. Please follow with your ophthalmologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
