What Causes Blurred Vision While Suffering From Celiac Disease?
I am a 56 year old white male with celiac disease. For the past several years, my distance vision has gotten gradually worse - blurry & some double vision. I notice it most when driving. It s the worst in the morning. My eye doctor says it s due to cataracts, but he says it s a rare condition. He d like to have me get cataract surgery. I m wondering if the blurred vision is due to something else. Can you please tell me what those possibilities are ? Thanks.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If there is a definite cataract then there is unlikely to be another cause as the cataract would block the fundus view. The cataract should be removed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
