Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blurred Vision With Light Flashes In Peripheral Vision?
Symptoms began today: right eye only slight cloudy vision along with significant specific flash of vertical bright light when glancing to right peripheral. I wear contact lenses and have had Lasix vision correction several years ago bilateral eyes. No headache but do spend several hours daily reading on iPad.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Seeing flashes of light and cloudy vision is suggestive of disorder of retina or vitreous humor. Wearing of contact lenses or lasik surgery in past is unlikely to be associated with appearance of flashes of light and blurring of vision. These symptoms are most likely to be a disorder to the retina or vitreous humor. I suggest you to consult an ophthalmologist for clinical assessment of the eye. Further management can be planned once cause for the symptoms is found out.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
