What Causes Blurred Vision With Mild Cataract?

I had my eyes checked on Monday for my annual checkup. I have cataract film covering my eyes. But she said my vision was good enough to postpone the surgery for a while. Yesterday when I came home I turned on the tv and it looked blurry. I can see it but it is not normal. I called the eye dr. And am going in tomorrow morning. Do you think this could be caused from something else? Appreciate any. Comments. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM.see the blurred vision can be due to 2 reasons .
1st if the cataract is a nuclear cataract type of variety than it can causes blurred vision even in early stages.
second as the eye doctor might have used atropine eyedrops which have dilated your pupils and that may lead to blurred vision, if its due to atropine eyedrops than it shall resolve within 12-18 hours.
if still u see a blurred image than contact ur opthalmologist ASAP.
thanks
