What Causes Blurry Vision,swelling In The Brain Ans Forgetfulness?

My friend has several scary medical issues lately....indentation in her head, a vibration feeling in her brain, a little brain swelling, sudden blurry vision that then comes back, feels like she s in a dreamlike state/memory loss (like doesn t remember what she ate 2 hours prior). What is this symptomatic of? Brain tumor?

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and I would like to know more about the brain swelling. Was this just a feeling or it was confirmed by the brain MRI scan?

Her symptoms may be related to different disorders including a brain tumor.

Seizures and low blood perfusion to the brain can not be excluded.

I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical examination for neurological signs and perform some tests:

- a brain MRI scan
- Doppler ultrasound of the cervical arteries
- an EEG
- resting ECG
- blood lab tests( complete blood count, thyroid hormone levels, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, etc.).

I recommend discussing with her attending physician on the above issues.
