Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi.. I had been pooping almost water out of the system. Two days ago I had flu kind of syndrome. Body aches so on and so forth, followed by pooping the next day almost like 1/2 an hourly. Till today after 3 days am still pooping water. I don't feel my stomach hurts though but theres lots of wind.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Pooping water that is watery diarrhea without pain in abdomen and flu like symptoms are due to intestinal infection. It is difficult to say whether this is bacterial or viral. Hence I would advise you the following: Get the stool tested. Blood for CBC, culture and sensitivity and any other as would be advised by your Doctor on clinical evaluation, examination. If there is an infective diarrhea you will need an antibiotic active against intestinal infection and Metronidazole. Activated charcoal, probiotics helps further. Take banana, yogurt/curds. Plenty of oral fluids to avoid dehydration.
