What Causes Body And Facial Numbness In A Heart Patient?

I suffer from complete whole body, skin area and eyes ears and throat have all gone totally numb. some areas are worse than others. My eyes are completely numb, if I touch them there is no reaction. This came on slowly over a period of 20 years and started with a thumbnail size area on my right foot. I do not have problems with controlling movement and my bodily functions are OK. I suffer separately with with heart problems that are caused by nerve conduction problems in the heart.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome HCM,

Understanding your concern . As per your query you have problem of facial numbness along with numbness of extremities . There can be many reasons for the symptoms you mention in query , But in your case it seems to me that there are two things that are responsible that is First the facial numbness is probably due to bell's palsy . Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face. Secondly the numbness of extremities is probably due to ulnar nerve dysfunction . Deficiency of vitamin B 12 or other nerve problem . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like diabetic neuropathy and trigeminal neuroptahy . Doctor may conduct various test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant or anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy , massage or light muscle exercise . Also consult cardiologist , because sometimes worsening of heart problem can also cause such symptoms .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
