What Causes Body Chills After Eating While Suffering From Hypoglycemia?

I am 25 yrs old, 129 lbs and a very active mother of 3. I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia 3 yrs ago and now whenever I think of eating or I do eat something that I really like I get goosebumps or as I call them food chills .Im only wondering if this has any relation to low blood sugar or just a neurologically triggered response to food that tastes good.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

If you have been diagnosed as a hypoglycemia then the feeling body chills or shivers after eating is likely to be due to neurological response because of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) itself.

But if you had low sugar then you must get evaluated it further since the commonest underlying cause is diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus which must be confirmed by various sugar tests.

You should see your treating physician who will know about it and may order all the tests.
