Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Body Chills While Suffering From Diabetes?
my husband is very sick right now he was chilling really bad is diabetic did finger stick 185 is on vit.d2 three times a week is on lyrcia twice a day is very weak chills have left now hot he has copd, i am thinking with pain med lortab, the vitamin d2 and the lyrica ,all three meds cause pretty the same side effects so with all those what would be a good tx. for him to ease him been vomiting also looks like bile coming up now and yes if no better by morning we will head to er.
I have read your query carefully and at this moment I would like to advise you to visit the ER. As his blood sugar levels are not very alarming but are not normal also. Along with that you mentioned he has chills l, I wonder if you have checked he has a fever or not and if yes, keep a record of it from now onwards.
You mentioned he has COPD (any trouble in normal breathing at present?) and he is vomiting as well. If he is continuously vomiting then that will cause dehydration and ER is the best place for him so that things can be brought under control immediately. So my advice to you is take him to ER asap because of that's the best place to monitor him currently.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
