What Causes Body Lightheadedness, Hands And Feet Coldness And Leg Muscle Twitching?

hi,
I am 40 & male. I had a bout of lightheadedness with my entire body feeling weak it happened at work on a night shift. My hands and feet started to feel cold and i felt so tired. that was 2 days ago and still i feel sluggish, my leg muscles are twitching my tongue has a strange sentation as if it has been burnt (you know when you eat hot food and it burns your tongue). It is just weird. Any ideas of what is causing this?

Hi,

Lightheadedness is a short lived sensation. It is common and unpleasant. It is rarely recurring and rarely prolonged.

Causes of lightheadedness may be dehydration, medication side effects, sudden blood pressure drops, low blood sugar, and heart disease or stroke.

Therefore, I recommend that you visit your doctor and make sure there is no serious underlying cause. He or she will order blood tests like sugar level, test your blood pressure, EKG for heart, and might even order an MRI for the brain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal
