Your symptoms suggest you have been suffering from any one of the following:
1) Rheumatoid arthritis
2) Reactive arthritis
3) Osteoarthritis
4) Viral polyarthritis
5) Psoriatic arthritis
6) Polymyalgia rheumatica
7) arthritis of inflammatory bowel disease
You are most probably suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The treatment is as follows:
1) Generally RA factor is checked in blood and in most of the cases this is positive
2) Medications are DMARDs or disease modifying rheumatic drugs
a) Conventional DMARDs like
Methotrexate,
Leflunomide, Hydroxychlorquine, Sulfasalazine
3) NSAIDs like
ibuprofen and
Naproxen sodium
4) Steroids
As your
ESR and CRP are elevated, it is acute phase arthritis and steroids are essential to be administered. Methotrexate decreases the progression of disease. Hydroxychlorquine can be added to your prescription.
5) your prescribed medicines are to be taken regularly without fail inorder to prevent complications like joint deformities.
6) Regular follow ups are very important.
7) Slowly the symptoms would come down please stick to your medication.
