Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been on Diclofenac for several years and cut it to one tab per day. When I tried to discontinue, I appeared to get a rebound effect and hurt all over. Motrin did not seem to work. Can I just stay on Diclofenac and alternate it with something else to maybe go to every other day. Any suggestions?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. here the problem with diclofenac you should be aware is that the major side effects are kidney failure, gastric perforation or gastritis, so it should be taken until unless it is necessary only. but you didnt mention in your question that for which problem you are on diclofenac.
so i suggest to use tab ultracet, which has opiod content which acts centrally to decrease the pain rather than locally and causing side effects like diclo.
