What Causes Body Rash With Itchy And Swollen Ears When Suffering From Hyperthyroidism?
Hi
I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid 3 wks ago and woke up this morning with a rash on my arms and body. My ears are also itchy and very swollen and red. I am taking Neomercazole 20mg twice a day and Inderal 10mg 4 tablets twice daily. What do you think is causing my reaction. Also for the past two evenings my eyelids are swollen please advise
Hi dear user I have gone through your question. I can understand your query.
The symptoms that you described (rash in your arms and in your body, itchy and swollen ears and eyelides) in my opinion are signs of an allergic reaction.
If for the moment the only drugs you are taken are neomercazole and inderal, the reaction probably is caused from one of this drugs. (Or maybe the two)
My advice is to stop taking this drugs and to meet immediately your GP or an alergologist in your area because you need a treatement for the alergic reaction and new drugs for the treatement of hyperthyroidism.
I wish you good health. Thank you for using HCM.
