What Causes Body Shakes, Rashes On The Arms For A 64-year-old Male?
My dad age 64 has never been to a doctor since he was a kid. He smokes and drinks everyday. Within the past couple of months i have seen his health take a toll on him. His feet swell up to the point he cant walk. Recently he forgets things, his body shakes, rashes on his arms and still he will not go to the doctor. Any possible diagnosis? Thanks.
Based on the history you have shared, he needs to get a Medical facility follow up as with feet swelling up he needs evaluation with an echocardiogram though his rash and other symptoms need to rule out systemic infections like meningococcal infections etc. Blood cultures, kidney and liver function tests, as well as urinalysis and cultures are needed. For shivering, it can be due to infection but neurological examination to see any correlation should also be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
