What Causes Body Tremor And Loss Of Consciousness?

I believe that I may have had a seizure last night. I was trying to sleep and I started shaking uncontrollably. I was freezing and each time I would attempt to shut my eyes I saw red and purple flashing lights. My arms felt weak. My husband helped me to the tub (I wanted a very hot bath because I was shaking) and I felt myself losing consciousness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think that the shivering may have been caused by fever, elevated body temperature. Take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for it. If it still continue despite anti-inflammatory drugs it can be a seizure so you need to visit a neurologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
