What Causes Body Tremors After Removal Of Thyroid Gland?

Hi, 2 yrs ago I had my thyroid removed, I quickly start developing tremors, stuttering and recently focal seizures. I just had a 72 hour EEG and awaiting results. I am not diabetic. However, this morning came across information on neuroglycopenia. Both my Neuroligist nor my Endocrinologist have mentioned this disorder. How do I get diagnosed? Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,

there is a gland called parathyroid gland beside thyroid gland which maintains calcium balance in the body. as you have mentioned that you underwent thyroidectomy, there is a chance of getting parathyroid removed. which can cause hypocalcemia, which in turn can cause seizure like episodes. don't be panic and please check your parathormone(PTH) levels and calcium levels as well as your thyroid function tests.

thanking you
