What Causes Body Tremors And Anxiety While On Ativan?

I have been takin 1-2mg ativan daily to help sleep as I am on nightshift for approx 2.5wks (Not prescribed for me). I am now feeling shakey, nervous and anxious with sweaty palms when I don t take any. I am worried this may be withdrawal. Absolutely cannot go see my doctor for help. Any advice????

welcome to hcm ..as you are not on night shift now . please taper the dosage slowly ..take ativan 1 mg for 4 days ..0.75 mg for next 4 days ..0.5 mg for next 4 days ...0.25 mg for next 4 days and 0.25 mg for next 4 days and then stop ..i usually recommend such therapy for my patients and this works ..please vote if you find my answer as useful ..
