Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi my name is Sylvia .I am trying to see what is going on with my mother . she is 74 years old .had her at the hospital for blood work and everything came back good.but she is having shaking spells in the morning it gets better in the evening.Says she feel bad all the time . i think she is some what depressed.she does not like to go anywhere wants to stay at home .she has high blood pressure. and high cholesterol. she also was complaining with her back and legs hurting so i took her to the Dr and they gave her Tramadol for the pain and she takes them regularly. That s when she really started complaining with the shaking in the morning this has been going on for about a month.cant get her to go back to the Dr right now she is afraid of catching the flu.
I think your friend is suffering from anxiety disorder or depression. She needs to see a psychologist for proper diagnosis and therapy. The shaking spells in the morning can be a part of anxiety disorder.
You have mentioned that she has high blood pressure. Is she on any antihypertensive drugs?
It would be advisable to get her blood pressure checked when she has those shaking spells. Low blood sugar can also cause tremors. So, if her blood sugar levels can be checked at that time it would aid in making a diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma Amman
