Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Body Tremors And Palpitations After Taking Cartia?
I had a pacemaker put in this past Wednesday. I am taking Cartia 240MGXT once per day in the morning. About an hour or so after taking the med this morning, I got sick and vomited quite a bit. Now I have been very shaky all day with heart palpitations. I think I lost the med and that I should take another dose to replace the one I took this morning, but wonder if it would be safe.
If an hour has been there before you vomited, then there is no need to take the drug again most of the times. In one hour time generally the drugs are give down the stomach.
Shaking may occur after the did but is not very common. What we advise you should check your heart rate and blood pressure as the drugs can cause more blood pressure and hence causing these symptoms.
If the book is fine then don't worry but see you're little. If pulse is very high then ask your doctor urgently.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
