I have lupus and for the last 3 days I have had horrible total body aches with a headache, with shooting pains on the side of my head piercing through my ear.I ve had a fever hovering around 100 degrees. I had a flu shot about 6 weeks ago. I m not sure if I should call my rheutalogist or not. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Thank you and pleased to answer you
These clinical features that you are describing can be seen immediately after a vaccination (maximum after 2-3 days after the vaccination) but also can constitute an acute access of your lupus.
However, since you had had the vaccine 6 weeks ago, I do not think it’s side effects of your vaccination but simply your lupus.
I advise you to contact your rheumatologist as soon as possible.
best wishes
