What Causes Boil In Anus?

What are the causes for a boil on an anus? I am having one. It feels very itchy at times and painful while washing. Today morning I noticed it had become red in colour. My friend had suggested me to use "15g Dermi 5 cream ", I am using this currently. Hw do I deal with this?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that an itchy and painful boil on the anus can be a Perianal Abscess..
It occurs most commonly due to:
-Hair follicle infection..
-Infected gland in the area.
-Infection in the skin leading to pus formation under the skin..
As it has turned red in colour it seems that there is increased infection..
Dermi 5 cream is a combination of steroid+antibiotic+antifungal combination, therefore it is appropriate for using in this condition..
But it is turning red in colour I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or Anorectal surgeon or you can even see a general surgeon and get evaluated.
He can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller and topical application of antibiotic, steroid and numbing ointment..
Do warm compresses as it can ease in draining it off..
If it does not improve or start worsening then Incision and Drainage can help in faster resolution..
